Welcome to the Self-Check Quiz!

This is a safe, easy way to learn whether stress and depression might be affecting you.

Using this service is completely voluntary, confidential, and anonymous. No information will be shared with anyone, including the Massachusetts Coalition of Police (MASS C.O.P.).

This program is not an emergency response system or crisis intervention service. If you are in crisis or contemplating suicide, please call 911 or go directly to the nearest emergency room.

We hope you'll take advantage of this safe and easy service.

There are 3 easy steps

  1. Click on the Sign Up button below.
  2. Create a User ID and password - allowing for complete anonymity.
  3. Take and submit a brief (<10 min) Self-Check Quiz. There are no required questions, just answer the ones you are comfortable with.

What happens next?

A peer support officer will review your Quiz and leave a personal response for you on this secure website with options for follow-up, if recommended. You decide what's next. You may talk with the peer support officer through this website, or get a referral to see a clinician who is familiar with the law enforcement culture. It's all up to you. No follow-up services will be provided unless you request them.

Protecting your privacy

Using this service is completely voluntary, confidential, and anonymous. Your identity will not be known to the peer support officer unless you decide to share it.

Email Address: At the end of the Quiz, you will have the option of providing an email address. This allows you to receive automated email notifications when the peer support officer posts their response to your quiz or dialogue note. Providing your email address also enables you to retrieve a forgotten User ID or password.

Your email address will be encrypted and will not be revealed to anyone, including the peer support officer.

If you prefer not to give an email address, at the completion of the quiz you'll be told when to return to this website to get the peer support officer's response.
